Beavers go Back 150 Years – Sleeping at Beamish Museum

Beamish museum offers a look into the every day life of the Victorian and Edwardian eras; Beavers from across the district headed to the open air museum for a 24 hour sleepover and historical experience.

Last weekend saw 50 Beavers from across the District head to Beamish, the Living Museum of the North. Saturday saw a jam packed day of action exploring the museum, and visiting the coal mines, before Fish and Chips for dinner.

Sleeping over in the welfare hall, the Beavers got the chance to meet new leaders and other Beavers from across the District, along with hot chocolate and games in the evening.

Sunday saw the close of the camp in the morning followed by adventures around the museum, and a ride on the tram back to the main house.

Well done to all the Beavers, and a huge thank you to the leaders involved.
