Shaping the future of Newcastle District – District Youth Forum

Over 80 Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts from many groups across the District gathered at House on the Hill last Friday for Fun and Forum with the new Team DYC. Along with wide games, hot dogs, hot chocolate, and a campfire, the young people were given the chance to put across their views to our District Youth Commissioners – helping influence a programme of activities for 2022 and beyond.

Making Young People Heard

Alongside the campfire, hot chocolate, and wide games, the young people were given the chance to meet with the District Youth Commissioners to pick out their favourite activities from the past few years. They also had the chance to look to the future, outlining their ideas for District events and camps, helping create a fun programme for next year.

District Youth Council

We are looking for confident and outgoing Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts to give regular feedback to our team DYC, through this we hope to regularly get information to help improve our programme based on the views of our young people!
