Harry Potter Camp 2021
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, Wizardry and Scouting.
Cubs from across the District gathered for a weekend packed full of Harry Potter themed activities at Moor House Scout Activity Centre
Last Friday, a cohort of budding young witches and wizards from Cub packs across the District boarded the bus to Hogwarts, for a weekend packed full of magical activities and 2 nights away.
The activities started on the Friday night with a Sorting Ceremony for all the Cubs, splitting them into the 4 houses for the weekend. One Harry Potter movie later and it was time to get some sleep in ahead of Saturdays Activities.

Hash Browns were not in short supply – over 200 eaten in one weekend!
Cooked breakfast was served each day, and a magically coloured Spaghetti Bolognese on Saturday Evening – along with chocolate frogs made by the Cubs themselves.

Our Hogwarts for the weekend was Moor House Scout Activity Centre in Durham – alongside the indoor accommodation, we played wide games and used the (soggy) fire pit for songs and games on Saturday night.
The main hall provided the chance for Cubs to mix with other groups and take part in indoor activities including nerf wars, targets, pioneering, and crest designs.

There was loads of Harry Potter themed activities on offer, both indoor and outdoor, including Wand Making, planting mini Whomping Willows, Spell Casting, Quidditch, Wand Painting, Potion Making, and brewing Chocolate Frogs
